Alex Courtès

Alex Courtès is a French artist and director of music videos and features.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]

Career

After studying at Penninghen, he began his career by creating album artwork for French house musicians, such as Cassius, Daft Punk, and Air. He also designed Daft Punk's iconic helmets.

In 1999, he directed a music video for the duo Cassius and international artists such as Phoenix, Kylie Minogue, Sébastien Tellier, Jamiroquai, Franz Ferdinand, Justice, Kasabian and The White Stripes.

Reconocimiento

En 2005, Courtès ganó un premio Grammy por " Vertigo " de U2 . En 2013, su video Willy Moon ganó el premio al mejor video pop en los UK MVA . También fue nominado en los D&AD .

En 2015, Courtès dirigió la primera temporada de una serie de televisión sobre el servicio secreto francés en la década de 1960, Au service de la France , y estaba desarrollando un largometraje de suspense.

En 2017, dirigió el videoclip "Go Up" de Cassius en colaboración con Pharrell Williams y Cat Power .
