Primeros años de vida

Lawson creció en el área metropolitana de Washington, D.C. , siendo la menor de seis hermanos. Asistió a la Escuela de Artes Duke Ellington y pasó los veranos en un campamento de teatro. Tras graduarse, se mudó a la ciudad de Nueva York para estudiar en la Escuela Juilliard . The film was released to widespread acclaim and gave Lawson a Gotham Independent Film Awards Ensemble Tribute Award.[16][17] She also appears as Sheila in Edgar Wright’s The Running Man, an adaptation of the 1982 novel by Stephen King.[18]
