Koteshwar es un lugar ubicado en el distrito de Katmandú . En 1991, la ciudad metropolitana de Katmandú se expandió al incorporar Koteshwar como el barrio n.° 32 (anteriormente 35). Historia
El nombre de Koteshwar deriva del nombre del templo de Shiva , Koteshwar Mahadev . Durante el período Malla , Koteshwar era una zona fronteriza triple en la confluencia de los reinos de Kantipur , Patan y Bhaktapur .
