Laura F. Edwards es una historiadora estadounidense. Es autora de cinco libros sobre historia de Estados Unidos: Gendered Strife and Confusion (1997), Scarlett Doesn't Live Here Anymore (2000), The People and their Peace (2009), A Legal History of the Civil War and Reconstruction (2015) y Only the Clothes on Her Back (2022).

Primeros años de vida

Edwards, hija única, nació de Sandra ( de soltera Rennich) y Robert Edwards. [ 1 ] Tanto su padre como su abuelo materno, George Rennich, trabajaron en el Laboratorio Nacional de Oak Ridge , siendo este último ingeniero químico. Criada en Oak Ridge, Tennessee , asistió a la Escuela Secundaria de Oak Ridge . Carrera

Después de ocupar un puesto de profesora asistente visitante en la Universidad de Chicago desde 1992, Edwards se unió a la Universidad del Sur de Florida como profesora asistente de historia en 1993.
