León Rattigan

Leon Gregory Rattigan (nacido el 4 de octubre de 1987) ^{[ 2 ]} es un exluchador británico de estilo libre que representó al equipo nacional de Gran Bretaña. ^{[ 3 ]}

Biografía

Rattigan comenzó a practicar lucha libre a los diez años en el Bristol Olympic Wrestling Club bajo la tutela del legendario entrenador Amir Esmaeli, ya fallecido.

Rattigan fue cinco veces campeón británico de lucha libre en la categoría de peso pesado en 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 y 2013. También fue campeón sénior inglés en múltiples ocasiones durante su carrera como luchador. ^{[ 4 ]}^{[ 5 ]}^{[ 6 ]}^{[ 7 ]}

Rattigan compitió en la categoría de 96 kg en el campeonato mundial de 2009 representando a Gran Bretaña. ^{[ 8 ]} Rattigan ganó la medalla de bronce para Inglaterra en la categoría de 96 kg de lucha libre masculina en los Juegos de la Commonwealth de 2010 en Delhi , India, en octubre de 2010. ^{[ 9 ]} Durante 2011, Rattigan también ganó el Campeonato Británico Abierto de Lucha Libre ^{[ 10 ]} y el Torneo Internacional Sassari. ^{[ 11 ]}

En 2013, Rattigan ganó el campeonato británico abierto de lucha libre ^{[ 12 ]} y fue seleccionado para representar a Gran Bretaña en el Torneo Internacional FILA Olympia, donde obtuvo una medalla de plata. ^{[ 13 ]}

Rattigan también fue el entrenador principal en WLWC, donde preparó a jóvenes atletas para las próximas competiciones y brindó a la gente de la comunidad la oportunidad de disfrutar del deporte de la lucha libre.
