Propuestas de banderas nacionales de la República Popular China

En julio de 1949, se anunció un concurso para la bandera nacional de la recién fundada República Popular China (RPC). De un total de aproximadamente 3000 diseños propuestos, se eligieron 38 finalistas. En septiembre, la bandera actual, presentada por Zeng Liansong , fue adoptada oficialmente, eliminando la hoz y el martillo . [ 19 ]

A partir del 18 de noviembre de 1997 ( 18-11-1997 ) , el Gobierno chino prohibió a las localidades fabricar y utilizar banderas y emblemas locales. [ 29 ] A pesar de la prohibición, algunas ciudades adoptaron su propia bandera, que a menudo incluye su emblema local, como se muestra a continuación. Las áreas controladas por la República de China (ROC) continúan utilizando las banderas correspondientes.

This is a list of incorrect or fictitious flags which have been reported on as being factual and/or historical flags by contemporary or otherwise reputable sources or popularized on the Internet.

In 2012, Vietnam mistakenly used the 6-star flag for China (1 big and 5 small stars) during the visit of the President of China.[46][47]
