Johnson Mason Maury (1 de mayo de 1847 - 2 de enero de 1919) fue un arquitecto e inventor estadounidense que diseñó y construyó más de 700 estructuras residenciales y comerciales, principalmente en Louisville, Kentucky, donde fue pionero en la arquitectura románica richardsoniana y de la Prairie School en Kentucky. [2] Maury es conocido principalmente por sus obras en The Kenyon Building y The Kaufman-Strauss Building. [3] Maury asistió a Male High School . Después de graduarse, Maury se mudó a Boston, donde estudió arquitectura durante dos años con el arquitecto HH Richardson , quien había diseñado la Grace Episcopal Church durante el tiempo de la estadía de Maury. Maury regresó a Louisville y trabajó con el arquitecto de la Iglesia Episcopal William H. Redin durante seis años.
