Sarkand (Kazakh: Сарқан, Sarqan) is a town in Sarkand District in Jetisu Region of south-eastern Kazakhstan. It is the capital of the district.

Climate

Sarkand has a humid continental climate (Köppen: Dfa)[1] with cold winters and hot summers.
