Hispanopedia WikiTeratosphaeria es un género de hongos de la familia Teratosphaeriaceae ; [ 2 ] según el Outline of Ascomycota de 2007, se ubicaba en Phaeosphaeriaceae , pero su ubicación dentro de esta familia era incierta. [ 3 ] Fue confirmado en 2020, dentro de Teratosphaeriaceae por Wijayawardene et al. 2020. [ 4 ]
La especie Teratosphaeria zuluensis (anteriormente Coniothyrium zuluense ) se encuentra en Eucalyptus camaldulensis en Etiopía y causa cancros en el tallo. [ 5 ]
