Hispanopedia WikiThe Watched Pot (título alternativo The Mistress of Briony ) es una comedia romántica de Saki y Charles Maude publicada en 1924. La obra, cuyos tres actos se desarrollan en la casa de campo inglesa ficticia de Briony Manor, gira en torno a la búsqueda de una novia adecuada para el joven Trevor Bavvel, que es el único heredero de la propiedad. La propietaria actual es la viuda Hortensia Bavvel, su madre, que es una mujer mandona y de mal carácter.
The Watched Pot tuvo su estreno profesional el 14 de julio de 1930, durante la tercera temporada de verano de los University Players . Fue dirigida por Bretaigne Windust .
