Juan Howitt

John Howitt (6 de julio de 1852 – 9 de junio de 1923) FRIBA fue un arquitecto radicado en Nottingham . ^{[ 1 ]}

Era hijo de William Howitt de Underwood . Estudió en la escuela Holly Mount de Nottingham y en la Escuela de Arte de Nottingham .

En 1867, entró como aprendiz de Samuel Dutton Walker de Nottingham, convirtiéndose en asistente principal y secretario gerente, y desde 1879 se asoció con él como Walker y Howitt hasta la muerte de Walker en 1885, con sede en Severn Chambers , 10 Middle Pavement, Nottingham. ^{[ 2 ]} Posteriormente, se asoció con su hijo como J. Howitt and Son.

Fue elegido miembro del Real Instituto de Arquitectos Británicos en 1890 y fue presidente de la Sociedad de Arquitectura de Nottingham de 1894 a 1895. Falleció el 9 de junio de 1923 y dejó un patrimonio valorado en 6768 libras esterlinas ^{[ 3 ]} ( equivalente a 353 800 libras esterlinas en 2025 ). ^{[ 4 ]}
