Alcalde de Gloucester

El alcalde de Gloucester es el primer ciudadano de la ciudad de Gloucester , Inglaterra, y preside el consejo municipal. El alcalde representa al consejo y a la ciudad en eventos cívicos, ceremoniales y comunitarios, tanto dentro como fuera de los límites de la ciudad.

El primer alcalde registrado de Gloucester fue Richard el Burgués, quien obtuvo su autoridad mediante una orden real en 1228. No se tiene constancia de que el título se haya utilizado nuevamente hasta las Cartas Patentes de Ricardo III en octubre de 1483, mediante las cuales los burgueses de Gloucester recibieron el derecho a elegir a su primer alcalde.
