En Estados Unidos existen más de 3.400 ciudades con el nombre de "Ciudad Árbol".

A continuación se presenta una lista parcial de Ciudades Arboladas de EE . UU . [ 1 ] Para ser una Ciudad Arbolada, la comunidad debe cumplir con cuatro estándares establecidos por la Fundación Nacional del Día del Árbol y la Asociación Nacional de Silvicultores Estatales :

  1. La comunidad debe contar con una junta o departamento de árboles.
  2. La comunidad debe haber establecido una ordenanza comunitaria para el cuidado de los árboles.
  3. Debe existir un programa de silvicultura comunitaria con un presupuesto anual de al menos 2 dólares per cápita.
  4. La comunidad debe celebrar el Día del Árbol y realizar una proclamación al respecto.
