Neat Records fue un sello discográfico independiente británico con sede cerca de Newcastle , Inglaterra. El sello fue fundado en 1979 por David Wood, propietario de Impulse Studios en Wallsend , Tyne and Wear . ^{[ 1 ]} Una figura clave en la creación del sello fue Steve Thompson . Thompson era productor de Impulse en ese momento y ayudó a fundar Neat, se convirtió en el director de A&R y produjo todas las grabaciones iniciales, además de gestionar la editorial, Neat Music. El sello fue vendido en 1995 a Sanctuary Records .

Neat Records fue, sin duda, el sello discográfico más influyente en el resurgimiento del heavy metal a principios de los años 80 en el Reino Unido. Este movimiento se conoció como la nueva ola del heavy metal británico o NWOBHM. El sello destaca por los primeros lanzamientos de la banda de Newcastle Venom, a la que se le atribuye la invención del black metal . Si bien ninguno de los grupos de Neat Records alcanzó la fama internacional, Venom, Raven , Blitzkrieg y Jaguar son reconocidos como grandes influencias para numerosas bandas importantes de thrash metal estadounidense , como Metallica , Megadeth y Anthrax .

Otros grupos destacados que publicaron música a través de Neat Records incluyen Warfare , White Spirit (conocida por ser la banda del actual guitarrista de Iron Maiden , Janick Gers ) ^{[ 2 ]} y Persian Risk (conocida por ser la banda original del guitarrista de Motörhead , Phil Campbell ). ^{[ 3 ]}
