Jóvenes brillantes

Los Bright Young Things , o Bright Young People , ^{[ 1 ]}^{[ 2 ]} fueron un grupo de jóvenes aristócratas y miembros de la alta sociedad bohemios en Londres durante la década de 1920. El nombre les fue dado por la prensa sensacionalista . ^[³^] Organizaban extravagantes fiestas de disfraces , realizaban elaboradas búsquedas del tesoro por el Londres nocturno, y algunos bebían en exceso o consumían drogas ilícitas, todo lo cual fue cubierto con entusiasmo por periodistas como Charles Graves y Tom Driberg . ^[⁴^]

Inspiraron a varios escritores, entre ellos Nancy Mitford ( Highland Fling ), Anthony Powell ( A Dance to the Music of Time ), Henry Green ( Party Going ), Dorothy L. Sayers ( Murder Must Advertise ) y el poeta John Betjeman .
